Advanced Barista Course

In this 2 hour Advanced Barista Course, trained professional Barista’s will take you through techniques useful for becoming a Head Barista. The course is set in out our coffee roastery in Botany and will help you adapt your coffee setup, both filter and espresso to the changing needs of the cafe environment during service.
The courses are limited to 4 students which will maximise the time you have with the professional barista.
The course will cover the below, plus much more:
- Adjusting the grind during service
- Using both Manual and Automatic grinders and how to set up [We use both Mazzer and Malkonig EK grinders]
- How to write a recipe for single origins and blends
- Weighing in and weighing out coffee
- Filter coffee methods [Pourover, Aeropress, Chemex]
This Advanced Barista Course is designed for clients looking to get into specialty/quality coffee bars and for cafe owners to help their barista’s get to that next level of coffee preparation.
