We are so excited to announce the launch of our tasting bar, which is in every way like a wine and cheese tasting with a delightful vintner, except it’s coffee and treat tasting with a superbly excellent barista.
At the bar we’ll take you through a flight of four coffees, exploring how origin, the land, and process make each coffee unique. Throughout the tasting we match goodies and palate cleansers so you can see how food and coffee flavours interact – when it comes to coffee, we strongly encourage you to play with your food. We’ll also take you for a stroll around the roastery so you can have a sticky beak behind the scenes and see what goes into making delicious coffee, and there’ll be plenty of room for questions so come armed with your queries (if, like me you’re not great at asking questions on the spot, ‘seen any good movies recently?’ is always a good one to have up your sleeve. Buys you some time.)
Anyway, we’re as proud as a cappuccino about this addition to our warehouse. It’s a great course designed by sommelier Matt Dunne from Aria (accolade accolade etc etc), and our very own Q-Grader Jess, so you know it’s going to be informative, yet informal. Enlightening, and enlivening. It’s a good time.
Book a seat at the bar online – it’s open for now on Thursdays, with 45 minute tasting slots happening on the hour from 8am to 12pm. There are 4 available spots per session, so come with your besties, or make some better besties while you’re here. Tickets are $49 per person.
